Are you a young family that wants to come to church?
Maybe you are worried that your child or children might be a distraction at Mass?
Here at Rose City we recognize that families are the future of our Church.
We Welcome you with open arms and we offer several different tools to help you feel comfortable at Mass.
At both Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Immaculate Heart Parish for all our Masses with offer Youth Packages.
When you attend mass an Usher will give your child a zippered pouch. Inside the pouch it will have the Children's bulletin and activity sheets.
In the Children's bulletin there is information about the Gospel for you to review to help your family better understand what God is saying to us.Need a separate space?
At Immaculate Heart Parish we have a worship space that is a separate space inside of the our common worship space. This room would be commonly called a 'Crying room'. You and your family are welcome to sit in this space during our Masses if you are feeling a bit more self conscious your enthusiastic family might bring to Mass.
This room has a washroom, closed doors, full view of the Altar, Tabernacle and has speakers so you are able to hear the Mass at all times.
If you are sitting in this space please know you are welcome to come forward for Communion or a Blessing at that time.Do you have older Children?
At both parishes we have Youth Missals available for use. The Living with Christ Sunday Missal for Young Catholics is the resource that helps youth grow in faith and to take part in the Mass on Sundays.Still a bit distracted during Mass?
How about getting involved? Has your Child made their First Communion? They can Altar Serve. You or your Teen interested in becoming Proclaimers(Readers)? Think you might want to be share your Faith with others by becoming a Catechist? Do you like to take care of Plants and Flowers?
Speak with Christine or Fr Glen, they will get your started! Remember becoming involved helps us feel connected to Our Church family and we can always use your help!
